About the role
We would rather publish one useful thing a month than five forgettable ones a week. The bar is: would somebody in our industry send this to a colleague?
You will help clear that bar, and then handle the far less romantic work of distribution and measurement.
What you will actually do
- Draft case studies, posts, and social copy from engineering source material.
- Own the publishing calendar and actually keep it.
- Handle on-page SEO basics without turning the writing into slurry.
- Report on what performed and, more usefully, guess why.
What you need on day one
- Strong writing, and the judgement to tell interesting from filler.
- Comfortable reading technical material and asking until you understand it.
- Analytics literacy: you can read a funnel and not over-read it.
Nice to have, genuinely optional
None of these are requirements. They are listed so you know what would be a head start, not so you can talk yourself out of applying. Apply if the list above fits.
- SEO fundamentals.
- Design sense, enough to lay out a post.
- Having grown any audience anywhere, including your own.
What you should expect to learn
- B2B marketing to a technical buyer, which is nothing like consumer marketing.
- How to turn engineering work into a story without lying about it.
- Attribution, and its limits.
